On 2nd November, we were delighted to welcome our volunteer Board of Directors, volunteer Advisory Group members, and past and present clients and colleagues to join us in celebrating 30 years of Into Work.
In celebrating our 30th anniversary, we wanted to think about our past as well as our future. So we had a conversation with our invited guests, asking them two questions:
What difference has Into Work made to me?
What brilliant things would I hope Into Work could do in future?
From these discussions, our brilliant facilitators created a graphic that captured our history, our ambitions, and the impact we have made on the people support and the people who work with us.

Here are some of the things that emerged from the conversation:
- ‘I got a job. Life changing. Utterly life changing’
- Into Work ‘restores faith in human nature’
- ‘There is hope’
We would like to thank Steve Coulson and Heather Simmons from the Thistle Foundation for facilitating the discussion and producing the brilliant graphic.
And of course, it would not be a birthday without a cake!

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, and to everyone who has supported Into Work over the last 30 years – bring on the next 30!
