Autism

What is Autism and how to support autistic employees

Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental difference. It presents differently in each individual autistic person. Autism fundamentally affects the way individuals’ senses take in information about the world, as well as how they process information and communicate. Autism is an integral part of individual identity. Being autistic makes some things more challenging, but it can also bring benefits.

This guide, written by autistic people, is designed to be shared between an autistic employee and their manager. Its goals are to improve understanding and to help autistic employees to thrive in their role.
