Into Work exists to support disabled people and people with long term health conditions at each stage of their employment journey to remove and reduce barriers in recruitment and employment. We provide supported employment services which are delivered in collaboration with our welfare rights, income maximisation and wellbeing projects. We currently deliver these services in Edinburgh and the Lothians but are looking to expand our range and scale of services across the Southeast of Scotland. We also deliver training and consultancy support to employers to improve their recruitment and employment practices of disabled people.
Into Work has undertaken a strategic review which has resulted in key objectives to increase our business development capacity to grow our delivery, presence, and influence, and to prioritise our quality management and staff development.
We are currently looking at our future working arrangements with a hybrid model of working.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Into Work are looking for a skilled and experienced person to support the management team to complete a number of improvements within the organisation.
The changes include moving from an in person to a hybrid model of working. Prior to COVID-19 we worked from our office work base and met our clients face-to-face, in person.
Since the lockdown regulations, we have operated a more flexible service in which we can deliver support to clients remotely through video calls and phone calls whilst staff are working from home – as well as still offering in-person support from work bases. This has allowed staff to have more flexibility in terms of working from home, as well as the ability to still work from the office. This usually depends on type of duties and client preferences regarding how they want to meet their worker / meet other clients.
We want all our systems to be in place to support hybrid working. To support this, we want to improve how we digitalise our processes of recording and reporting activities. We also want to have a full suite of updated accessible digital policies and procedures in place. We need systems which support easy access to the management of all of this data.
We are working on streamlining our recording and reporting processes. To assist with this aim, we will have some dedicated time with a Business Intelligence software developer to create a more accessible recording approach. This will allow the production of high-level quantitative and qualitative reporting for managers, funders, and our Board to help manage quality and performance against our objectives. We aim to better share learning across the organisation.
We are moving to an HR software system that will require a change in our current processes as well as the transfer of data to that system. We need to ensure that all our data collection systems are GDPR compliant.
We have made several changes to the staff structure to increase management and leadership capacity within Into Work by creating ‘Project Lead’ roles. These new job roles have been filled. We are in the process of formalising these changes and would require input with this.
We are developing and implementing a Business Development Framework to grow our delivery, presence and influence with designated staff working on this.
Within all this we need to clean up the structure and storage of our existing IT folders.
We are looking for someone to work alongside the management team and take a lead role in co-ordinating, administering and implementing the above to bring all of our processes up to date, efficient in line with the changes outlined. We want a Project Manager to bring things to a point where the staff team are competent and clear about the revised processes and systems.
