Leaving Board Members – Jean MacLellan and Connor Burleigh

21st November 2024

We would like to express our gratitude to two of our departing Directors and Trustees: Jean MacLellan and Connor Burleigh.

Jean MacLellan
Connor Burleigh

Jean, as our Board Chair, has contributed significantly to the development of our strategy and governance. After careful consideration, she has decided that now is the right time for her to leave her role.

In 2021, Jean argued for and led a review of the organisation’s development and structure. The subsequent restructuring, along with the expansion and diversification of our services, has established a more stable operating base for the years ahead.

During her 6 years on the Board, the last 3 as Chair, Jean made a terrific contribution to Into Work. She was, and remains, a passionate supporter of the charity.

She brought immense experience, skills and professionalism to the role of Chair. In essence, a participative leader who at all times encouraged and valued the input of others. She was in turn highly respected by everyone in the organisation who knew her.

We will keep in touch. She will always be a friend to the organisation and we wish her well. Her involvement will be much missed.

It was a real benefit to have the involvement of a much younger person on the Board, who, nevertheless already had a lot of experience and understanding of the Social Care landscape. He was an enthusiastic source of original ideas and observations.

All the best in your career Connor!

Ken Dinwoodie, Chair

On behalf of everyone at Into Work, we extend our gratitude to thank you to Jean and Connor for their time, expertise and dedication over the years. We wish you both the very best for the future.
