We are pleased to announce that Jon Buglass has been appointed to our Board of Directors.
Jon is the Vice Principal of Edinburgh College, having worked there for 20 years in a variety of roles, initially as a lecturer in music technology. Jon has worked in partnership with many organisations working in employability over the years and is keen to bring his experience and insight in to opportunities to support people in to employment or education and training as there is an increasing demand for this support.
Jon is coming to the Board with a wealth of knowledge and skills in strategic planning, marketing, communications, finance, HR, IT, risk management and business development as well as a strong understanding of the barriers to employment that young disabled people experience.
Jon recently stepped down from 12 years of service on the board of the Drake Music Scotland.
I am delighted that following our recruitment we have identified four people to join the Into Work Board over this coming year. Jon is the first of the four to join the Board and I am so pleased that we managed to recruit someone with such an understanding of Into Work’s aims with excellent knowledge, and skills.
We had targeted recruitment to attract experience from education so it is fantastic that Jon will be able to bring this additional capacity to Into Work.
